L’estate è finita. Bye bye grazie mille. I’m slowly starting to accept that my favourite season is over. No more carefree munching on ice cream in the summer breeze this year. We’ve ended it. Or rather I was broken up with. It was certainly not by mutual agreement. I wasn’t ready to let go yet. “Stop whining! You can’t control everything!” I scold myself. Yes, I admit that I still miss it a little. It was just too brief but oh how good it felt! But hey, wipe away your tears of compassion dear reader. I have good news: I had my first date with Autumn.
Although it was a very shy and rather reserved rendezvous at first I dare to predict that we’ll end up liking each other. Some of its habits I will have to get used to like thosAe nasty winds. I have a feeling that it will be a deep love with countless ups and downs. Since autumn is the season of transition I thought this multi-coloured zig-zag patterned skirt I got in London would be the perfect choice for our date. The skirt from Dorothy Perkins is clearly reminiscent of the well-known Missoni pattern. Italian inspired design would put me into the right mood for our tête-à-tête at Luigi’s Cucina. I chose the burgundy cardigan and accessories (from Mango) to please Autumn. I know red is his favourite colour.
After he had whispered something into my ear he complimented me on my new perfume by Dolce and Gabbana. It is slightly heavier than the fragrance I used to wear when Summer was my lover. Oh Summer, how easy everything felt with you! But you know what? Autumn might be darker, but he’s way more passionate! So farewell silly Summer! By the way, my date with auspicious Autumn ended with a warm embrace and a soft kiss. How romantic and promising! So whose loss is it now, Summer? Autumn you make me want to run around in your red and mustard coloured leaves and scream: Autunno amore, ti voglio molto bene!
